Little Miss Hollywood

Happy Birthday Lili Jo... Grandma & Grandpa love you and hope you enjoy the birthday outfit we sent you.
My dear middle child is not a normal middle child. If there ever was one that never had to worry about being lost in between her siblings it would be her. She came into this world on her own accord (she was not going to wait around on a doctor to get his scrubs on) and she is now dominating it to the march of her own beat. She is an angel faced tomboy that only wears a dresses and tutus. Here she is allowing me to indulge myself on her new birthday outfit...

My Fortune

What?!
Dear Panda Express: I love my mom, but I am pretty sure after years of living with her that she cannot tell fortunes. And you my Sir's just ruined the joy of cracking open a sweet yellowish styrofoamy cookie!! I even eat them. Mostly because I am superstitious and partly because it is a habit from when I was a kid. I think we can do better here. Especially during stressful times like the ones that I find myself in. The meal was delicious though :)_ xo B

On another note. I have been lacking in my photo blogging and commenting. I apologize sincerely. I am taking a Geology course that breaks down into 32 hours of school work for 4 days of school. For 5 weeks. OR I am in class from 5p-10p (M-Th), then come home to 3 hours worth of online testing each night. It has me swamped and tired. Ugh.. not to mention we are also now required to do a poster project assignment as part of our final. I have finally arrived to the last 6 days of class leading into finals. Yea!!

I really appreciate all of you for stopping by and commenting. I love the support and thank you so much for stopping in for a peek :) Thank you! I did get some really great shots on my "Friday Off" (the day I refuse to do any homework, tests or make up work). When I get some time I will be posting for you. I do not know when. But I will....

like right after my class project and finals.. and my daughter starts Kindergarten... and my in-laws visit (yes! in the same week!)... and the world ends, ha!  See you all again soon, xo_B :) :) :)

PS: We are still melting. But its mostly due to humidity. We are getting remnants of the hurricane that was off the coast of Baja, CA. Making our heat worse then normal :( Especially with no rain in sight! If you have it, please send. Stat ;) We did have another Haboob the other day. Smaller and faster then the latter. Not much mess to clean up :) I however was in class for that one and missed it. Bummer. But I am thankful I did not have to drive through it like the last one!

Popsicles

You know its summer when you break out the popsicles and otterpops :) MMmmm. It was finally cool enough (under 110) to play outside but hot enough for popsicles. My little freezer raiders found the newest box and ate a one or two ... or as I discovered today while putting things away, the whole box!! Left the empty box in the freezer of course. _B
Awe. They didn't forget to bring mama a treat, dryer's fun size!

Jump Around

What happens when you combine 2 kids who want to go swimming, with a broken air pump and a deflated plastic puddle that used to be a pool? My two little geniuses turning on the hose and filling the pool puddle with an inch of water and splashing around in it until they were soaked. :) Enjoy_B

Duckie Day

It was finally cool enough yesterday (thanks to the haboob & monsoon) that we got to hang out. We sprayed the sandy dust off of everything, refilled the pirate ship and played with Duckie. She had so much fun. Here are a few of the great pictures we created together. Hope you enjoy _B

Vacation Please

I need a vacation. I wish I was a teenager again, sleeping in until two in the afternoon, hanging out with my friends and wasting my pretty youth away. So long dear friend. Hello, adulthood. Summer Vacation? What? This is the real world now. Waking up to two giggly girls in my face at 7am wanting "wow wow" or "ponies" and they want "fout woups" or "tiger" for breakfast. They settle down and the lil one wakes up, no nap on the couch for you mama. Change, Clothes, Bottle, Change, Walker ... Mama we is duuuunnnn. Screaming and fighting over who gets to play with what toys or colors or books. Try to do homework while they nicely kill each other and Daddy's at work (who also stays up doing homework). Baby can pull himself up now and walk-a-round holding onto something and that something would be the side of the couch or chair or whatever I am sitting on.. gnawing his new teeth into my laptop cords ... OMG is it really lunch time? I only wrote 4 sentences?! Were did the last 4 hours go?? O wait breaking up fights and pulling the baby off of Lappy and trying not to sing along to the stupid cartoon theme songs.. Your done? Its been 5 minutes. What do yo mean you don't want PBJ? Why is it in your hair? How.. You know what never-mind. In_Door_Pool Time!! Shrieks of laughter,a trail of clothes and two happy "swimmers" are in the bathtub... 10min later. The tub is empty all over the floor and somehow baby is in there laying on his tummy giggling. Towels. Clothes. Containment in the bedrooms with naps.. HAHA! Baby is the only one that sleeps now. The girls are over it in 5 minutes and I let it slide because I have 5 project papers due in 3 days and its almost 5pm .. What? How is it 5pm? Dinner.. (inner mommy scream). The parade of 'im-hungry-i-need-a-drink-what-are-you-making-what-are-you-doing" begins and just as everything needs to be pulled off/out of the stove the baby cries. Needs to eat and be changed... leave kid crying or burn the food? .. Another round of baths and fighting, 4 more sentences into my homework project and its bedtime.. Night terrors of course have the lil girl running out every 30min.. the big one is hiding in her room.. the baby is now crying AGAIN because mommy has lost it on sisters outside his room door... Finally quiet and Hubby comes home as I am pulling up my homework. NO there is no dinner for you! Is what I would like to say, but its 115 out and he works outside pulling carts and stocking ice all day.. SO OF COURSE i will make you dinner honey... 12am and here I am finishing up a paper due 2 days ago. As hubby tells me that we have no time and now no money to take our Beach Vacation in August that I have been looking forward to for over a year. Its okay. I am a big girl now! Life will go on. I love my little family and they love me. And that my dear teen-self is all that matters....
I will miss you sand and sea. We will meet again soon. xoxo_B

Arizona Summer

I had to get the kids out of the house, even if it was only 15 minutes. Arizona summers can be brutal and this one is proving to be just that. Its been over 110 for the last week and a half. Nothing is growing right outside. Our flowers are shriveling up and dying. My poor grass is only growing around the outer rim of the bricked area, the center is either bare dirt or only an inch tall. Not fitting into my idea of wanting a little piece of Washington in my backyard. However, the kids did enjoy it. Hiding, running and spinning their way through the tall grass. Having fun in the setting summer heat...

Hopefully this summer heat cools off and they can spend more time outside. Hope you enjoyed. B
